Years before Kings of Leon were forced off stage by a flock of pooping pigeons, indie legends REM walked into an abandoned California warehouse to film the video for their 1991 hit, “Radio Song.” Unbeknowst to the band or director, pigeons had been caking the makeshift set in excrement. For years.

But did they, like KoL, stop work after twenty or so minutes? Did lead singer Michael Stipe’s mom call him, as KoL lead singer Jared Followill’s did? C’mon.

Fancy-boy rockstars, take note: You walk in the guano-slathered footsteps of giants.
