STB: Heroism at the U.S. Open

Tennis doesn’t employ a lot of puppets or animals, so we generally steer clear, but last night we saw an act of heroism — and chivalry — that we have to salute.

At last night’s Djokovic and Petzschner match, two apparent Jersey Shore enthusiasts began a volley of their own in the stands. (Caution: There are bad words.) But note the older gentleman standing to the woman’s left. Notice his patience. He listens, coaxes his date to her chair away from her verbal assailant, even seems to hold the chair open for her. He situates her, and then opens a 70-year-old can of whoop-ass.

Yeah, he gets the worst of it. And he’s probably pretty sore today. But at Spin The Bottle, we salute a man who takes care of business.
